Holy moly.

What you are seeing below, are 380 records that were recently hauled over to my house by a (dear) friend, which he considered leftovers from a much larger collection of records he inherited from a DJ in the UK who used to be active throughout the 90's.

This collection is mainly composed of a wide spectrum of House as well as Hardcore, Breaks, Techno and even a bit of Trance - mostly UK stuff too. I am in the midst of cataloguing these and am stumbling upon white labels I have never heard before and a lot more releases that do not have any audio samples online, which is pleasing of course.

Unfortunately however, like anything else on this plane of existence, these are not... free, and I will be painstakingly sorting and picking the ones that will appeal to me at a cost and whatever remains will eventually have to be returned. 

The good news however, is that I get to sit on this pile of gold indefinitely, which provides all the time I need to set aside releases that are exclusive to vinyl only so that I could rip them, and these WILL be free. (suck a lemon gatekeepers)

So expect to see a surge of rips coming this way over the coming weeks or months, depending on how fast I can work through them. What a time to be a preservationist!

UPDATE (June 3): I have finally completed cataloguing this collection on Discogs on behalf of my mate and is now available to view here. Around half of these can be found or bought digitally (online or CD), the other half are vinyl exclusives and I am working my way through ripping these as we speak. Once I upgrade cloud storage, I will begin to upload them. If there's any vinyl rip in particular you need from this list, please use the contact form to reach me.

Goodbye, old rips

On my about page, there is a list at the bottom which details the gear I have used over the years to rip my records. Each method used prior to 2022 did not produce the best results, with some being time consuming and inefficient. 

So I've gone ahead and dug out every record (excluding what I've already sold unfortunately!) to clean them out with the trusty Pro-Ject VC-E, one by one to ensure we have the cleanest copies that my day job can possibly buy.

Every release you may have downloaded with a file creation date prior to 2022, will be ripped again and re-shared here as new, cleaner rips that you can use to replace what you've already downloaded. 

A few of these releases weren't even ripped! So you'll have a few more gems to add to your collection too.

A link for these files is now available in the downloads shortcut page so that you wont have to go searching for them again in the genre folders. I will be adding rips to this folder on a periodic basis.

An official post will be made to announce when the whole process has finalized, so keep your eyes peeled!
